About the Website
Whovians is the name known by cast of the hit BBC television shows Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures and Doctor Who for the name given to an obsessive Doctor Who fan and to be fair that’s what I am. The site hence the name the cast named for the fans has been named after this making it more known and understood for the basic purpose of the website.
The website has been created by Anna. She’s a student from England, UK studying her head off and trying to keep on the top of all the work she’s getting. Her family are from a long line of nerds (we que up often enough) with science fiction prominently having a raging theme across their house holds. Anna has a particular interest and has had from a young age only to be spurred on by the revival of her favourite television show – Doctor Who. To add to her happiness she found out John Barrowman would be in it and to top it off would be the leader and main star in a spin-off show which would be mainly based around and possibly including the events from the show Doctor Who. Then came Sarah Jane Adventures meaning she now had three television shows (to generally squee over) which meant she had a distraction from her continuous and prolonged studying which her nerdiness encourages her to do. When she gets enough time she likes to update this website and is a regular user of LiveJournal writing fan fiction (mainly slash) on different fan-based communities so you may already know her.
The site will have updates about the current Doctor Who adventures and which direction it will be taking, spoilers, information from Doctor Who Magazine, Doctor Who Adventures and Torchwood Magazine. Information regarding the spin-off television shows Doctor Who and Sarah Jane Adventures may be posted here along with information of the rest of the cast and events/televised shows/radio plays etc. they will be starring in.
